Menurut Kepala Bidang Pelayanan Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit (P2P) Dinkes Kabupaten Bogor Adang Mulyana, ada kecenderungan tren penyakit diare meningkat.
“Kemungkinan sih karena kemarau, sehingga mungkin sebagian sudah mulai kekurangan air bersih. Di satu sisi juga hygiene sanitasi yang belum optimal,” kata Adang, Sabtu (12/8/2023).
Mengantisipasi penyakit diare, warga diingatkan untuk memasak air sampai mendidih untuk kebutuhan minum, serta tidak mencuci alat makan di sungai. Warga juga diminta rajin mencuci tangan memakai sabun sebelum makan ataupun sesudah buang air kecil/besar.
Adang juga menyarankan warga menyaring terlebih dahulu air. “Lebih baik pakai kaporit atau yang bisa membunuh kuman penyakit di air dan seterusnya,” kata dia.
Masyarakat diminta untuk selalu menjaga perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) sebagai upaya mengurangi risiko terkena penyakit. Adang mengatakan, Dinkes Kabupaten Bogor berupaya terus mengingatkan masyarakat untuk menjaga PHBS.
“Kalau yang bersifat perilaku PHBS, kita memberikan sosialisasi, pelatihan juga. Untuk kegiatan yang berupa perubahan perilaku sebagaimana disosialisasikan ke masyarakat akan kembali ke individu masing-masing,” kata Adang.

Lebih lanjut, Mbak Ita menjelaskan mengenai perbedaan antara kekurangan air bersih dengan kekurangan air. Mengenai air bersih sendiri hanya difungsikan untuk memasak ataupun minum. Sedangkan air yang tidak bersih atau keruh hanya dapat difungsikan selain dari hal-hal yang dimakan maupun diminum.
“Jadi memang kalau kita berbicara tentang pemenuhan air bersih, memang sudah 3 bulan ini, sejak kemarau ada beberapa titik-titik seperti Jabungan, Rowosari, ini memang langganan kekurangan air bersih saat kemarau. Tapi tidak kekurangan air, beda ya, kalau kekurangan air bersih itu untuk masak, untuk minum. Karena sumurnya sudah keruh, sudah berbeda karena musim kemarau,” ucapnya.
Dalam menyikapi hal tersebut, dirinya juga menghimbau kepada masyarakat untuk menghemat dalam penggunaan air. Mengingat, musim kemarau tahun ini lebih panjang dan memiliki suhu yang lebih tinggi daripada musim kemarau di tahun-tahun sebelumnya. “Kita juga mendorong pemanfaatan air ini dieman-eman (dihemat-hemat) lah. Karena nanti larinya juga ke polusi udara dan lain sebagainya. Apalagi sekarang musim kemaraunya panjang, kering dan suhunya tinggi,” tandasnya.
